SC Namorados's Diogo Pacheco got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alcabideche FC's Bento Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Pacheco in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Cláudio Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bernardo Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Namorados getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. José Correia hit a great ball. Heitor Andrade acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 15th minute, took the ball on the long shot from José Amaro. After 17 minutes of play, Alcabideche FC's Bernardo Gueifão made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Heitor Andrade was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Alcabideche FC's zone, Pedro Paredes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bento Azevedo came out of the goal and Pedro Paredes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Paredes in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bento Azevedo saved Alcabideche FC from getting behind. If Carlos Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the game, Cláudio Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alcabideche FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Namorados the free kick. In the 38th match minute, Alcabideche FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. SC Namorados's Diogo Pacheco got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Pacheco in the 41st minute of play forced Alcabideche FC's goalkeeper Bento Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Andrade having to interfere. In the 46th minute of the match, Afonso Faro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Heitor Andrade saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diogo Pacheco made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Gueifão in the 54th minute of play forced SC Namorados's goalkeeper Heitor Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Bento Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alcabideche FC's Bento Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Alcabideche FC from getting a goal against them. In the 76th match minute, Alcabideche FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Amaro to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Diogo Pacheco in the 79th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Carlos Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Diogo Pacheco took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Bento Azevedo to make any attempt to save it. The SC Namorados supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Namorados would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
