Viriato Miranda might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bento Moniz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Viriato Miranda ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Maxieira's Paulo Pedroso got a free kick in the 90th minute. Marco Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Paulo Pedroso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, Bento Moniz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Maxieira's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
