Portal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Netos the free kick. A collision led to Portal FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Paulo Almeida hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Portal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Mendes came free, but Bento Moniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Almeida struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Cristóvão Gueifão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portal FC. 22 minutes into the match, SC Netos's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Trindade came free, but Cristóvão Gueifão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Afonso Araújo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 28 minutes had been played. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Paulo Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 40 minutes of play, Portal FC's Paulo Almeida made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristóvão Gueifão was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Almeida to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viriato Trindade got free with Cristóvão Gueifão in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Bento Moniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Netos's Carlos Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Portal FC defense, Carlos Dias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bento Moniz. The Portal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bento Moniz should have stopped the shot. If Carlos Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Almeida in the 89th minute of play forced SC Netos's goalkeeper Cristóvão Gueifão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viriato Trindade blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristóvão Gueifão having to make a save. A collision led to SC Netos getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Cristóvão Matias hit a great ball. Cristiano Rodrigues took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cristóvão Gueifão. SC Netos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cristóvão Gueifão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viriato Trindade in the 97th minute.
