When Simão Luz came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Vilarouco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Luz couldn't finish the play. Cândido Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Tavares in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gorgoco's Delfim Martins got a free kick in the 48th minute. In the 49thth minute of the game Rui Tavares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gorgoco's Cândido Ferreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Cândido Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Rui Jesus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Brito in the 89th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Gorgoco's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Tavares came free, but Cândido Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
