Joaquim Anjos didn't get a good kick on the ball. António Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Maia having to interfere. Emanuel Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Gueifão, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14th match minute, Ruivoz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Branco to maneuver through the defense. If António Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Emanuel Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruivoz's Emanuel Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Cunha in the 19th minute of play. Alexandre Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Maia having to interfere. Emanuel Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Gueifão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruivoz's Fernando Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Alexandre Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Maia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Alexandre Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Tom FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Cunha couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when António Gueifão made the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Gueifão in the 52nd minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If António Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that António Gueifão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Maia was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Emanuel Maia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but António Gueifão showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 86 minute of play.
