After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Américo Barros made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of SC Samonde booed when SC Argova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélder Moniz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Américo Barros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Argova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 93 played minutes SC Samonde got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Cabral. Lourenço Cabral hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Humberto Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Heitor Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SC Argova players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
