Thanks to some nice moves Adelino Carvalho could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Alexandre Moura however easily saved by the left post. In the 10th minute, Adelino Assunção got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardo Trindade charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Trindade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alexandre Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Assunção in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Gaspar Aguiar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alexandre Moura. The goal made the score 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adelino Carvalho got free with Alexandre Moura in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexandre Moura was a little too slow when Adelino Carvalho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 2-0. Alexandre Carneiro hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Loucoes's zone, Fernando Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Correia came out of the goal and Fernando Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Fernando Pires's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Correia was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Adelino Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Alexandre Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Adelino Assunção in the 35th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Alexandre Moura kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 3-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Adelino Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Alexandre Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adelino Assunção was the one to do the kick off. When Filipe Mota came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the SC Loucoes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Mota couldn't finish the play. The supporters of SC Loucoes booed when Tuizelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Trindade didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Tuizelo's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Carvalho came free, but Alexandre Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tuizelo were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after SC Loucoes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nuno Pinho took the corner. After taking down the ball on Tuizelo's corner Nuno Pinho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Daniel Correia quite easily take care of the ball. Tuizelo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
