Jaime Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the game, one of Freixieiro:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 18thth minute of the game Daniel Alves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esfrega's Jaime Vaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 27th play minutes Cristiano Esteves shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Rui Miranda and just under the crossbar into goal. 31 minutes into the match, Freixieiro's goalkeeper Rui Miranda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Esteves. Jaime Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Alves in the 34th minute of play. Cristiano Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rui Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Esteves got free with Rui Miranda in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Lúcio Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Esteves in the 89th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oliveira Abreu during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
