After 24 played minutes Bernarda FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Guerreiro. If Marco Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bernarda FC's Alfredo Guerreiro in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Bernarda FC booed when SC Baioes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Amadeu Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Coelho in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Baioes's goalkeeper Amadeu Gaspar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Vítor Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sandro Setúbal having to make a save. The supporters of SC Baioes booed when Bernarda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 played minutes, Bernarda FC's Pedro Figueiredo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amadeu Gaspar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bernarda FC reached it. In the 72nd match minute, SC Baioes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Morais to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Alfredo Guerreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bernarda FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Guerreiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Guerreiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Gaspar was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Sandro Setúbal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Baioes. Sandro Setúbal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Leiria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Baioes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
