Álvaro Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, SC Oucidres's José Nunes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. After 10 played minutes SC Gontinhais got a freekick which was hit by André Henriques. Gonçalo Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Rocha having to interfere. Filipe Rocha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonçalo Torres's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Filipe Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Torres in the 20th minute of play. Joaquim Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Andrade having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Gonçalo Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filipe Rocha. SC Oucidres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gonçalo Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 31st minute Gonçalo Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Mendes charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Mendes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute Gonçalo Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SC Oucidres getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Alexandre Brás hit a great ball. Gonçalo Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Rocha having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Oucidres's zone, Gonçalo Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipe Rocha came out of the goal and Gonçalo Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Macedo in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Andrade saved SC Gontinhais from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Macedo made a kick off. After 51 minutes, José Nunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Oucidres and the SC Gontinhais players grew even worse after the yellow card. José Nunes hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Gonçalo Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Filipe Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Nascimento in the 55th minute of play. When Jorge Monteiro fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Oucidres's protests and gave Jorge Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Gontinhais booed when SC Oucidres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. António Carneiro, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. David Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandre Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Andrade having to interfere. David Andrade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquim Macedo's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Joaquim Macedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Andrade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquim Macedo ran back to his position shaking his head. The SC Gontinhais players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
