Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After 4 played minutes Fataca got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Amorim. Alexandre Amaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Coimbra in the 8th minute of play forced Fataca's goalkeeper Emílio Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Alexandre Amaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexilhoeira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Amaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the game, one of Fataca:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Mexilhoeira FC. Filipe Faria stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Emílio Gaspar. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Mexilhoeira FC's zone, Emanuel Campos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Ferreira came out of the goal and Emanuel Campos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 21 played minutes Mexilhoeira FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Silva. Emanuel Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emílio Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Amaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd match minute, Fataca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Simões to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Campos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
