Armindo Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Delgado in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armindo Pinto saved Tojeira from getting behind. In the 18th match minute, Tojeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Amaral to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Delgado in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armindo Pinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bento Porto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but José Pacheco made a huge save. After 22 minutes of play, Legacao FC's Jorge Delgado made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armindo Pinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armindo Pinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Legacao FC. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Delgado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Armindo Pinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Vieira in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Delgado in the 53rd minute of play forced Tojeira's goalkeeper Armindo Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Delgado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armindo Pinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Paredes in the 59th minute of play forced Legacao FC's goalkeeper José Pacheco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Legacao FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Paredes came free, but José Pacheco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pacheco having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
