Nuno Bessa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Curvaceira. SC Curvaceira's Adelino Assunção played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Guarda in the 19th minute of play. Gil Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Nuno Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Machado hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Adelino Assunção made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Brito in the 29th minute of play. Rui Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute Jorge Guarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Assunção saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, SC Curvaceira's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Guarda came free, but Adelino Assunção reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If José Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adelino Assunção made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Guarda in the 45th minute of play. The SC Curvaceira players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Valinho were winning 0-1.

Rui Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Bessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Nascimento in the 67th minute of play forced Valinho's goalkeeper Nuno Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rui Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Valinho's Adelino Assunção threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jorge Guarda, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gil Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Bessa having to interfere. Valinho's Jorge Guarda got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adelino Assunção took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Guarda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96thth minute of the game José Carneiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valinho's Nuno Bessa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
