Manuel Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nuno Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Santarém in the 12th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by João Reis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Manuel Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Santarém was the one to do the kick off. Jaime Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Santarém, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Vaz got free with Jaime Santos in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 59 played minutes Chamosinhos got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Barbosa. After some careless play in the Chamosinhos defense, Nuno Vaz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaime Santos. The Chamosinhos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaime Santos should have stopped the shot. If Manuel Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. Manuel Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Melo having to interfere. After 89 played minutes, Chamosinhos's Manuel Cabral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Inácio Melo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chamosinhos reached it. Rui Pedroso's late challenge caught a Chamosinhos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rui Pedroso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, SC Remoaes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, João Reis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chamosinhos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chamosinhos fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Remoaes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
