Mariano Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Guarda, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Cristiano Coelho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mariano Ribeiro having to make a save. Nuno Guarda might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mariano Ribeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nuno Guarda ran back to his position shaking his head. Júlio Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. José Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Andao. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Magalhães in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Neves saved SC Massama from getting behind. 28 minutes into the game, Miguel Gonçalves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Massama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Andao the free kick. Miguel Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Júlio Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When SC Andao's Júlio Magalhães in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Massama's goalie prevented a goal. When Nuno Guarda came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the SC Massama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Guarda couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Júlio Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomás Abreu's late challenge caught a SC Andao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Abreu helped the player get up and apologised. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Massama! In the 72nd minute Júlio Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Pedro Gomes notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of SC Massama's José Neves. Mariano Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Coelho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mariano Ribeiro having to make a save. Cristiano Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Andao were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over SC Massama's much stronger midfield.
