An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Ribeiro in the 8th minute of play forced Furadouro FC's goalkeeper Manuel Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gil Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Manuel Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Barbosa in the 12th minute of the match. Cristiano Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lourenço Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. When Cristiano Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Chapinheira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Barbosa couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Barbosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Fontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Chapinheira's Jacinto Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Chapinheira from getting a goal against them. Miguel Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Baptista having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Gil Vale kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacinto Baptista. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. Alexandre Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Chapinheira's Jacinto Baptista got control of the ball when Miguel Vieira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Furadouro FC's Manuel Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Barbosa in the 40th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Furadouro FC's zone, Alexandre Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Fontes came out of the goal and Alexandre Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Manuel Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gil Vale to make the kick off. Jacinto Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Vale in the 53rd minute of the match. The supporters of Chapinheira booed when Furadouro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Moniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Furadouro FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristiano Barbosa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Gil Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Furadouro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 65 minutes, Gil Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Furadouro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandre Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Fontes having to make a save. If Alexandre Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Manuel Fontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chapinheira. 75 minutes into the game, Miguel Vieira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Furadouro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chapinheira the free kick. A collision led to Furadouro FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Miguel Vieira hit a great ball. After having played for 76 minutes, Cristiano Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chapinheira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Gil Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 88 played minutes Chapinheira got a freekick which was hit by João Pinheiro. Gil Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jacinto Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Manuel Fontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chapinheira. Cristiano Barbosa came free with the goalkeeper in the 97th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Manuel Fontes could save by the left post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Furadouro FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chapinheira had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
