Mariano Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. SC Ovil's attack was well implemented in the 6th minute, but when Jaime Mota was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Rafael Monteiro hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Cristiano Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 minutes, Alexandre Bessa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Meijoeira and the SC Ovil players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute Cristiano Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, João Faria put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marco Castro. Cristiano Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Meijoeira's Marco Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Mota in the 41st minute of play. João Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when António Dias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, António Dias tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but António Correia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 53 played minutes SC Meijoeira got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Barros. Marco Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Mota in the 56th minute of play forced SC Meijoeira's goalkeeper Marco Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Meijoeira's Marco Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Faria in the 57th minute of play. In the 64th minute, SC Meijoeira's António Dias dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 73rd minute, Cristiano Viana reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of António Correia. The goal made the score 1-2. Vicente Macedo struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. António Correia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Meijoeira. If João Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, SC Meijoeira's goal looked a bit too open when João Faria came free, but Marco Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Ovil's zone, Cristiano Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Correia came out of the goal and Cristiano Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Meijoeira's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
