Ulme's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zedes FC the free kick. In the 2nd match minute, Ulme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Viana to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Ulme booed when Zedes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Filipe Teixeira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amílcar Matias showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Amílcar Matias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Morais in the 9th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Gaspar Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Guerreiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 15 minutes on the clock, Lucas Pinho commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 15th minute, one of Zedes FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zedes FC. In the 17th minute there was a penalty for Ulme. Filipe Teixeira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Amílcar Matias. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Ribeiro during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ulme's Ricardo Ribeiro got a free kick in the 19th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Ulme's goalkeeper Bernardo Guerreiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Macedo. Luís Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 34 minutes in the game, Sebastião Matias dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastião Matias in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amílcar Matias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sebastião Matias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílcar Matias having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ulme's zone, Manuel Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Guerreiro came out of the goal and Manuel Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaspar Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaspar Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Zedes FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ulme:s goal. The referee gave Ulme a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Filipe Teixeira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Zedes FC's Amílcar Matias. 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Morais was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Sebastião Matias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Torres's late challenge caught a Ulme's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Torres helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th match minute, Zedes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Torres to maneuver through the defense. If Alberto Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Morais in the 72nd minute of play forced Zedes FC's goalkeeper Amílcar Matias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Macedo struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Bernardo Guerreiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zedes FC. After 78 played minutes Ulme got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Teixeira. Ulme's Sebastião Matias got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Alberto Morais's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amílcar Matias was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Amílcar Matias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Morais in the 89th minute of the match. Ulme's Bernardo Guerreiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Macedo in the 90th minute of play. Bernardo Guerreiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
