After a defensive mix-up in Souselas's zone, Rafael Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Sousa came out of the goal and Rafael Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Arada FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Alfredo Bessa hit a great ball. Eusébio Pereira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Nuno Lopes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eusébio Maia scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Sousa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusébio Maia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Souselas got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Viegas. Carlos Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lourenço Torres in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Gonçalves in the 56th minute of play forced Arada FC's goalkeeper Nuno Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusébio Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Lopes having to interfere. Nuno Lopes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Viegas's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. After 71 minutes of play, Arada FC's Rafael Fernandes made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Sousa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute, Eusébio Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rafael Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Sandro Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Souselas's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, Lourenço Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 86 played minutes, Souselas's Inácio Cardoso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nuno Lopes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Souselas reached it. Inácio Cardoso, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Eusébio Maia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Eusébio Pereira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Lopes having to make a save. In the 96th minute, Eusébio Maia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carlos Sousa. The goal made the score 0-3.
