Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomás Almeida took the kick off in the first half of the match. Paulo Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Augusto Santarém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Almeida in the 10th minute of play forced SC Catasel's goalkeeper Amadeu Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Catarino Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Gonçalo Viegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Tomás Almeida notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SC Catasel's Amadeu Paiva. Amadeu Paiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of SC Catasel booed when Minhotaes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeu Paiva was a little too slow when Tomás Almeida got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 2-1. After 31 played minutes SC Catasel got a freekick which was hit by António Brito. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Viegas in the 40th minute of play forced Minhotaes FC's goalkeeper Augusto Santarém to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Gonçalo Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Catasel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Viegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Paulo Soares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Santarém was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Gonçalo Viegas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augusto Santarém showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Viegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Soares made a kick off. Gonçalo Viegas might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Santarém. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonçalo Viegas ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulo Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeu Paiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Almeida went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of SC Catasel booed when Minhotaes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Xavier Macedo fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minhotaes FC's protests and gave Xavier Macedo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, Xavier Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Catasel's Paulo Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henrique Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tomás Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Minhotaes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Almeida couldn't finish the play. If Henrique Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amadeu Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Oliveira in the 90th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Minhotaes FC had won after a very even match.
