Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Miguel Lisboa got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes, Daniel Moura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Melim and the SC Barcel players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Daniel Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the match, SC Melim's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Faro came free, but Pedro Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Melim's Bento Campos got a free kick in the 5th minute. Daniel Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Pedro Machado made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gil Faro in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Machado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Matias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Mota's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 17th match minute, SC Barcel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Assis to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Paulo Mota got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Antunes's late challenge caught a SC Melim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Melim booed when SC Barcel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Miguel Lisboa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Paulo Matias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 30 minutes into the game, SC Melim's Paulo Mota nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Matias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. SC Barcel's Paulo Matias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Mota in the 35th minute of play. Pedro Machado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Santos in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the match, SC Melim's Miguel Lisboa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Matias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Jorge Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Mota recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half SC Melim were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

SC Barcel's Paulo Matias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Barcel from getting a goal against them. Abel Assis hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Paulo Mota could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Paulo Matias however easily saved by the left post. Rui Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Daniel Santos might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Machado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Gil Faro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Machado was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Paulo Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Matias having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, SC Barcel's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Lisboa came free, but Paulo Matias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Lisboa in the 70th minute of play forced SC Barcel's goalkeeper Paulo Matias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paulo Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Assis might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Machado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel Assis ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the SC Melim defense, Gil Faro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Machado. The SC Melim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Machado should have stopped the shot. 2-2 became the score in the 85th minute when Gil Faro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Miguel Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Miguel Lisboa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Paulo Matias, passed just outside the right post. The SC Melim players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Barcel from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
