Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Miguel Pereira took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Fernando Soares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amadeu Simões was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Gumirais booed when SC Fouto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Fouto's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Miguel Pereira scored to the left of an out of position Luís Santos, making the score, 1-1. Luís Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 19 minutes, Sebastião Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gumirais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastião Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute, Fernando Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute of the match Amílcar Cruz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Santos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sebastião Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Luís Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Pereira in the 40th minute of play forced SC Fouto's goalkeeper Luís Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeu Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Américo Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gumirais! If Sebastião Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half SC Fouto were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when André Carneiro made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Sebastião Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Pereira struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Luís Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gumirais. Vicente Ramos hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Gumirais's goal looked a bit too open when André Carneiro came free, but Amadeu Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Américo Gomes during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Gumirais manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing SC Fouto to win.
