Pedro Leiria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Cristiano Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, SC Sinagoga's Cândido Macedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cândido Valente narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cândido Macedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cândido Valente. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cândido Macedo ran back to his position shaking his head. 19 minutes into the match, Velhas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Nogueira came free, but Cândido Valente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Velhas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Resende to maneuver through the defense. After 21 played minutes SC Sinagoga got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Barbosa. In the 30th minute Américo Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rui Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the SC Sinagoga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Nogueira couldn't finish the play. Sandro Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sandro Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Velhas FC booed when SC Sinagoga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Américo Machado made a kick off. Cândido Valente made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cândido Macedo in the 56th minute. Américo Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Pereira having to interfere. In the 60th minute of the match Artur Macedo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristiano Pereira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. SC Sinagoga's Cristiano Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Leiria in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Velhas FC's Óscar Antunes got a free kick in the 67th minute. Rui Nogueira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cândido Valente came out and tried to block the shot, but Rui Nogueira slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 68th minute. Cristiano Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Américo Machado in the 74th minute of the match. Cândido Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Cândido Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cândido Valente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Nogueira in the 80th minute of play. Cândido Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cândido Macedo struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Cândido Valente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Sinagoga. The supporters of SC Sinagoga booed when Velhas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Resende didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cândido Macedo came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the SC Sinagoga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cândido Macedo couldn't finish the play. The Velhas FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Sinagoga's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Sinagoga.
