Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Amílcar Marques took the kick off in the first half of the match. Pedro Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Nunes having to interfere. Ricardo Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Amílcar Marques took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cândido Guerreiro. Cândido Guerreiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Alcofra's goal looked a bit too open when David Neto came free, but Cândido Guerreiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cândido Guerreiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílcar Marques in the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Sabacheira's zone, Pedro Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Nunes came out of the goal and Pedro Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 21 played minutes SC Sabacheira got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Valente. Cândido Guerreiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Neto's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Armindo Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Cândido Guerreiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Marques in the 26th minute of play. Cândido Guerreiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílcar Marques in the 36th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Amílcar Marques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cândido Guerreiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After the first half SC Sabacheira were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Cunha was the one to do the kick off. Ricardo Nunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduardo Marques went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. If Amílcar Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Neto got free with Cândido Guerreiro in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Alcofra getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Augusto Leite hit a great ball. Cândido Guerreiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílcar Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Sabacheira's Amílcar Marques slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cândido Guerreiro. That made the score 1-3 after 78 minutes of play. Alfredo Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. David Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Guerreiro having to interfere. In the 90th minute, David Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Sabacheira walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
