Vítor Ferro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Pedro Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Ferro struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Pedro Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Penteado. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armando Vaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored SC Penteado's protests and gave Pedro Pacheco a yellow card for diving instead. When Oliveira Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the SC Penteado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliveira Viegas couldn't finish the play. In the 81st match minute, Cobre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Costa to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Penteado fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! The Cobre players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
