An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Moreira in the 3rd minute of play forced SC Salao's goalkeeper Pedro Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Rui Fernandes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Marques skillfully saved the ball. Daniel Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Pedro Marques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Figueiredo's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Manuel Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Funchais's zone, Lucas Coimbra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Miranda came out of the goal and Lucas Coimbra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Salao's Paulo Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When João Porto fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Salao's protests and gave João Porto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Salao's João Porto got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Daniel Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 39 played minutes SC Salao got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Paredes. During the 43rd minute of the match João Porto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave João Porto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, SC Salao's João Porto got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Rafael Paiva tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Pedro Marques. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 47th minute. After the first half SC Funchais were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Bessa during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th match minute, SC Funchais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Marques to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Lucas Coimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Salao's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Coimbra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 66 minutes, Jorge Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Funchais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Moreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Marques made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Figueiredo in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute, Daniel Figueiredo made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Marques. SC Salao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After having played for 83 minutes, Lucas Coimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Salao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Coimbra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucas Coimbra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Manuel Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Pedro Marques successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Daniel Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Moreira in the 98th minute of the match.
