Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jorge Guarda started the match with the kick off. Bernardo Ferro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Guarda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SC Deimaos booed when Mato FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonçalo Setúbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Nogueira in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Deimaos's Ricardo Moutinho got a free kick in the 13th minute. After having played for 16 minutes, António Anjos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Deimaos's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Anjos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonçalo Setúbal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. António Anjos struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Bernardo Ferro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Deimaos. Jorge Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Setúbal having to interfere. After 30 played minutes SC Deimaos got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Vaz. Henrique Leiria was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 34th minute of the match David Mota sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernardo Ferro skillfully saved the ball. In the 38th minute, André Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Francisco Veiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gonçalo Setúbal was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Veiga to strike the kick off in the second half. David Mota, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 74 minutes into the game, SC Deimaos's Jorge Guarda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernardo Ferro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Bernardo Ferro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Anjos, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Mariano Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Setúbal having to interfere. If António Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Guarda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Ferro having to make a save. After 90 played minutes Mato FC got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Macedo. Mato FC's Bernardo Ferro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Anjos in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Mato FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Guarda came free, but Bernardo Ferro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Deimaos's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
