If Catarino Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Decabelos's goalkeeper Basílio Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Catarino Moniz. 13 minutes into the match, Alcabideche FC's goal looked a bit too open when António Assis came free, but Domingos Valente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Decabelos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! A collision led to Alcabideche FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Manuel Almeida hit a great ball. Basílio Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Almeida in the 22nd minute of the match. Hélder Soares hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Manuel Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, António Assis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Decabelos's supporters rose to their feet, but António Assis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingos Valente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 played minutes Alcabideche FC got a freekick which was hit by António Mendes. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Almeida to make the kick off. António Assis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Almeida in the 62nd minute of play forced Decabelos's goalkeeper Basílio Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Catarino Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Sebastião Veiga from long distance, 66 minutes into the match, got Domingos Valente's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Sebastião Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Decabelos's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastião Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingos Valente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Coimbra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Decabelos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alcabideche FC the free kick. A collision led to Decabelos getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Rodrigo Coimbra hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Decabelos's Alberto Cardoso got a free kick in the 74th minute. Decabelos's António Assis got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. António Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Valente having to interfere. Domingos Valente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Veiga in the 91st minute of play. Basílio Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Catarino Moniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alcabideche FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
