Manuel Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jorge Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Mariano Gomes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Marques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Fernando Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Manuel Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The referee ignored SC Lares's protests and gave Sandro Vale a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Silveiro FC booed when SC Lares was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Daniel Gonçalves made the kick off in the second half. Mariano Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jorge Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 played minutes SC Lares got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Gonçalves. Manuel Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Mariano Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
