The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rui Nunes was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, SC Lemenhe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Bessa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Nunes in the 56th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armindo Amaro in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gil Fontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raul Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Carlos Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Armindo Amaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gil Fontes. SC Mocoes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armindo Amaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The SC Mocoes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.
