In the 12th minute, Sandro Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute, Bernardo Morais reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Leite. The goal made the score 1-0. When Bernardo Morais came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the SC Casteleiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Morais couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Morais in the 32nd minute of play forced Tola's goalkeeper Luís Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandro Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mário Resende having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Moniz to strike the kick off in the second half. Mário Resende stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Guerreiro's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Mário Resende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Guerreiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. A collision led to SC Casteleiro getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Cláudio Gomes hit a great ball. Sandro Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Resende having to interfere. If Jaime Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Mário Resende managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Tola's Sandro Ribeiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mário Resende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viriato Marques in the 92nd minute. If Luís Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Casteleiro had won after a very even match.
