When Paulo Melo came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the SC Ervilhais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Melo couldn't finish the play. Barcarena FC's Humberto Figueiredo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Barcarena FC from getting a goal against them. When Rafael Paredes fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Ervilhais's protests and gave Rafael Paredes a yellow card for diving instead. Rafael Paredes hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Fonseca made a kick off. A collision led to Barcarena FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Afonso Pacheco hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Barcarena FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Moniz came free, but Humberto Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Paulo Melo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Figueiredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. When Paulo Melo came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the SC Ervilhais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Melo couldn't finish the play. Barcarena FC's Humberto Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Paredes in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Melo in the 69th minute of play forced Barcarena FC's goalkeeper Humberto Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st match minute, SC Ervilhais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Amaro to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Rogério Leal could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Ricardo Delgado however easily saved by the left post. After taking down the ball on Barcarena FC's corner Abel Bessa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ricardo Delgado quite easily take care of the ball. After 76 played minutes SC Ervilhais got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Guarda. Humberto Figueiredo came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Ervilhais's Paulo Melo. But to his dismay, Paulo Melo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 82 minutes into the match, SC Ervilhais's goalkeeper Ricardo Delgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogério Leal. Rogério Leal was extremely unlucky when he, in the 84th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. SC Ervilhais's Ricardo Delgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save SC Ervilhais from getting a goal against them. SC Ervilhais's Ricardo Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Fonseca in the 87th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Catarino Amaral during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 93 played minutes, Barcarena FC's Abel Bessa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Delgado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barcarena FC reached it. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Joaquim Fonseca took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Ricardo Delgado to make any attempt to save it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Barcarena FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Ervilhais.
