Gustavo Guerreiro hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. If Catarino Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 9 minutes, Tomás Jesus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Jesus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Folgares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Guerreiro came free, but Jorge Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Guerreiro hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Jorge Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Jesus, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The supporters of Caia FC booed when Folgares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Castro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vítor Marques went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Vítor Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomás Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Miranda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustavo Guerreiro's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, Folgares FC's Carlos Tavares got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 34thth minute of the game Tomás Jesus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Folgares FC's Jorge Miranda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tomás Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Catarino Anjos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Tomás Jesus made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Catarino Anjos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute Vítor Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Jesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jorge Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Carlos Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filipe Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Anjos in the 78th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Caia FC's zone, Vítor Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipe Castro came out of the goal and Vítor Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Anjos in the 95th minute of play forced Caia FC's goalkeeper Filipe Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Catarino Anjos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Castro having to interfere. Folgares FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
