Artur Cabral started the match with the kick off. When Carlos Tavares fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Folgares FC's protests and gave Carlos Tavares a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Carlos Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Ventosa's António Morais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Catarino Anjos in the 7th minute of play. When André Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Folgares FC's protests and gave André Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Folgares FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. André Barbosa hit a great ball. SC Ventosa's Filipe Jesus got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Cabral in the 17th minute of play. António Morais came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Folgares FC's Vítor Marques. But to his dismay, Vítor Marques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Artur Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jorge Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SC Ventosa booed when Folgares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Barbosa got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Ventosa's goalkeeper António Morais, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 38 played minutes SC Ventosa's Filipe Jesus stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Jorge Miranda stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Folgares FC of the goal.
