After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Raul Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raul Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Armando Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Fernando Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Dias to make the kick off. Almancil FC's Amadeu Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amadeu Sá who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Albertino Santarém when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Amadeu Sá's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albertino Santarém read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Armindo Setúbal charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armindo Setúbal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Almancil FC booed when Barro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armindo Setúbal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Barro FC's Armindo Setúbal got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Lourenço Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Santarém having to interfere. Armando Dias took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Freitas. Fernando Freitas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Barro FC's zone, Lourenço Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Santarém came out of the goal and Lourenço Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Raul Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Barro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Araújo couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 91 in the game by Amadeu Sá from a close distance when the talented Albertino Santarém managed to make a qualified save. Barro FC's players were relieved. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Almancil FC's goalkeeper Fernando Freitas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Barro FC's Raul Araújo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Freitas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0.
