Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Paulo Pereira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Cardoso during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th match minute, SC Benagouro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. Delfim Moutinho charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Delfim Moutinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th minute, one of SC Abegoaria:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Abegoaria. The referee gave SC Benagouro a penalty, 13 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Armando Moreira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Abegoaria's Artur Machado. 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, SC Benagouro's goalkeeper José Borges had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusébio Andrade. SC Abegoaria were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after SC Benagouro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Delfim Moutinho took the corner. SC Abegoaria's Delfim Moutinho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but José Borges in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. José Borges stood somewhat misplaced when Eusébio Andrade came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 20 minute. Paulo Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, SC Abegoaria's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Gomes came free, but Artur Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Neto in the 30th minute of play forced SC Benagouro's goalkeeper José Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 played minutes, SC Abegoaria's Oliveira Pires shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper José Borges came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Abegoaria reached it. Inácio Viegas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Abegoaria's Eusébio Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lúcio Neto during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Abegoaria getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Lúcio Neto hit a great ball. Inácio Viegas's late challenge caught a SC Abegoaria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inácio Viegas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Abegoaria booed when SC Benagouro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Viegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Abegoaria were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after SC Benagouro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Delfim Moutinho took the corner. Delfim Moutinho made a great header on SC Abegoaria's corner, it was just that SC Benagouro's José Borges managed to reach the ball for a save. 48 minutes into the game, one of SC Benagouro:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lúcio Neto made a kick off. Armando Gomes struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Artur Machado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Benagouro. Lúcio Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. José Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lúcio Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Borges having to interfere. In the 67thth minute of the game Eusébio Andrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Benagouro's José Borges was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the match, SC Benagouro's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Neto came free, but José Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, SC Abegoaria's Eusébio Andrade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Borges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in SC Benagouro's zone, Lúcio Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Borges came out of the goal and Lúcio Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusébio Andrade in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Borges prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute Paulo Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Benagouro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Armando Moreira in the 82nd minute. The corner led SC Benagouro's Armando Moreira to fire away a dangerous shot which Artur Machado despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Paulo Pereira struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Artur Machado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Benagouro. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Paulo Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Benagouro's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Machado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 99 minutes, Artur Machado successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Abegoaria had won after a very even match.
