When Eusébio Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the SC Abegoaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Andrade couldn't finish the play. Afonso Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Artur Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viriato Gomes came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Artur Machado could save by the left post. If Lúcio Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Viriato Gomes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Artur Machado made a huge save. Jacinto Sá's late challenge caught a SC Abegoaria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacinto Sá helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute, Jacinto Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogério Monteiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emílio Valente. Rebordaes FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. António Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Emílio Valente didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusébio Andrade went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 39 minutes, Domingos Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Abegoaria and the Rebordaes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th match minute, SC Abegoaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Silva to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Viriato Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afonso Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After the first half SC Abegoaria were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Adelino Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. If Viriato Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. After 64 played minutes Rebordaes FC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Dias. When Delfim Moutinho came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the SC Abegoaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delfim Moutinho couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the match, Eusébio Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emílio Valente. Rebordaes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusébio Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 73rd minute, Jorge Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Artur Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Eusébio Andrade notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Rebordaes FC's Emílio Valente. Emílio Valente was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Nogueira during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Abegoaria's Jorge Nogueira got a free kick in the 85th minute. When Viriato Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Rebordaes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viriato Gomes couldn't finish the play. Rebordaes FC's Emílio Valente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Rebordaes FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Gomes in the 96th minute of play forced SC Abegoaria's goalkeeper Artur Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Rebordaes FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Abegoaria's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Abegoaria.
