The wind increased when Marco Rocha made the kick off in the second half. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Dantas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tomás Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Dantas having to interfere. Paulo Dantas was a little too slow when Paulo Macedo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-3. After having played for 92 minutes, Tomás Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Retaxo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Retaxo FC's zone, Eusébio Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Dantas came out of the goal and Eusébio Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Retaxo FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
