Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Zagalho booed when Rigueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Catarino Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Trindade, 9 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Simão Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Luz having to interfere. Heitor Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Barbosa in the 13th minute of play. Heitor Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Bessa in the 14th minute of the match. Rui Bessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Simão Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Bessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Heitor Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Zagalho's Diogo Esteves got control of the ball when Armindo Cunha tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute, Armindo Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diogo Esteves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 47 played minutes Rigueira got a freekick which was hit by Lourenço Domingues. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd minute André Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armindo Cunha in the 56th minute of play forced Zagalho's goalkeeper Diogo Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Almeida struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Diogo Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rigueira. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Almeida in the 64th minute of play forced Zagalho's goalkeeper Diogo Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Simão Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zagalho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simão Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Bessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Armindo Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Joaquim Trindade fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zagalho's protests and gave Joaquim Trindade a yellow card for diving instead. After 89 minutes, José Tavares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zagalho and the Rigueira players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, José Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diogo Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
