The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. André Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Marques struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Inácio Jesus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anhoes FC. Mariano Vaz's late challenge caught a Anhoes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Vaz helped the player get up and apologised. Jorge Marques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Inácio Jesus having to make a save. Humberto Baptistas short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got André Paiva to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Anhoes FC's Nuno Brás got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Buarcos FC's zone, Jorge Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Jesus came out of the goal and Jorge Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 56th play minutes Domingos Nogueira shot 2-0, a short shot which went by André Paiva and just under the crossbar into goal. André Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Nogueira in the 62nd minute of play. When Miguel Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Anhoes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Pinho couldn't finish the play. 70 minutes into the match, Anhoes FC's Jorge Marques sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inácio Jesus narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
