An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lopes in the 5th minute of play forced Monsoa FC's goalkeeper Cristiano Ferro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Monsoa FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Raul Rocha hit a great ball. Sebastião Anjos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Cristiano Ferro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Aleixo in the 10th minute of play forced Consolacao's goalkeeper Carlos Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Aguiar in the 11th minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Francisco Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monsoa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernandes having to interfere. Carlos Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Sá in the 22nd minute of the match. After 23 minutes, Mariano Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Consolacao and the Monsoa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mariano Lopes hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Sebastião Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Mariano Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Consolacao's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lopes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Ferro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernandes having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Consolacao's zone, Bernardo Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Fernandes came out of the goal and Bernardo Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Guerreiro charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Guerreiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Consolacao booed when Monsoa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 minutes, Lucas Valente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monsoa FC and the Consolacao players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Monsoa FC's Lucas Valente got a free kick in the 46th minute. Cristiano Rodrigues took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cristiano Ferro. Monsoa FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Aguiar was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Mariano Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Ferro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Aguiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Fernandes having to make a save. Bernardo Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Carlos Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th match minute, Consolacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Lopes to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Aguiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Fernandes having to make a save. Carlos Fernandes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo Sá in the 68th minute. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Consolacao's goalkeeper Carlos Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Monsoa FC booed when Consolacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute, Alexandre Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Manuel Aleixo in the 86th minute really tested Carlos Fernandes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Bernardo Sá might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Fernandes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Sá ran back to his position shaking his head. In a very dangerous position, a player in Monsoa FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! Sebastião Anjos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Consolacao were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Monsoa FC for a fine match.
