Brandiao FC's Hugo Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Leão in the 3rd minute of play. Lourenço Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Neves having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Leão in the 7th minute of play forced Brandiao FC's goalkeeper Hugo Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Leão in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Neves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Augusto Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Brandiao FC's goalkeeper Hugo Neves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lourenço Soares. 11 minutes into the game, Lourenço Soares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hugo Neves. Lourenço Soares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. SC Bravo's Paulo Viegas suffered a sore thigh after 13 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Carlos Vaz charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Vaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Brandiao FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 20 played minutes SC Bravo got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Leão. José Torres took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredo Moura. Alfredo Moura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Lourenço Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If José Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lourenço Soares struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Hugo Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Bravo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduardo Assunção during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 51st match minute, SC Bravo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Assunção to maneuver through the defense. If Lourenço Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 57 minutes into the match, José Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Moura. SC Bravo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Alfredo Moura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Torres's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Lourenço Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Neves having to interfere. If Lourenço Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle went the supporters of Brandiao FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant SC Bravo side.
