The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to SC Bravo getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Augusto Leão hit a great ball. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Bravo's goalkeeper Alfredo Moura, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 9th match minute, Insua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Castro to maneuver through the defense. David Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Fernando Abreu hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, SC Bravo's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Azevedo came free, but Alfredo Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Insua FC's Heitor Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Heitor Araújo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Insua FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Azevedo in the 23rd minute of play forced SC Bravo's goalkeeper Alfredo Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heitor Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Moura having to interfere. Alfredo Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Azevedo in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Leão in the 34th minute of play forced Insua FC's goalkeeper David Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lourenço Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augusto Leão made a kick off. SC Bravo's Amílcar Vale shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 55th minute of play. The shot was stopped by David Amorim but with some difficulty. Alberto Pacheco hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. When Insua FC's Heitor Araújo, in the 57th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Insua FC. The supporters of Insua FC booed when SC Bravo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Viegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Insua FC's zone, Augusto Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Amorim came out of the goal and Augusto Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fábio Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. SC Bravo's Alfredo Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Azevedo in the 85th minute of play. Augusto Leão took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Amorim. David Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 95th minute, Heitor Araújo made a precise shot to the right of Alfredo Moura. SC Bravo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. SC Bravo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
