Cláudio Assunção might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Queirós. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cláudio Assunção ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 5th match minute, SC Gozende was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Dantas to maneuver through the defense. Cláudio Assunção recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafael Pereira charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rafael Queirós was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Artur Pedroso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Artur Pedroso really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Artur Dantas charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Dantas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Gozende's zone, Artur Pedroso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Queirós came out of the goal and Artur Pedroso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Jorjais's goalkeeper Emanuel Leão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 27th minute, SC Gozende's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Artur Pedroso fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 29th minute, Joaquim Machado made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Leão. Jorjais's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After having played for 31 minutes, Joaquim Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gozende's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquim Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Emanuel Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, SC Gozende was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Dantas to maneuver through the defense. Jorjais's Artur Pedroso got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 41 played minutes SC Gozende got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Cabral. Rafael Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Pedroso in the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Machado made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Jorjais's zone, Paulo Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Leão came out of the goal and Paulo Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rafael Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 58 minutes into the game, Cláudio Assunção was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jorjais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Gozende the free kick. Cláudio Assunção kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Paulo Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gozende's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66thth minute of the game Joaquim Machado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jorjais's Emanuel Leão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafael Queirós came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Jorjais's Cláudio Assunção. But to his dismay, Cláudio Assunção quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Artur Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Rafael Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Queirós having to interfere. Artur Pedroso's late challenge caught a SC Gozende's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artur Pedroso helped the player get up and apologised. Alexandre Brás hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Joaquim Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gozende's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute Artur Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, SC Gozende's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Assunção came free, but Rafael Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Jorjais had won after a very even match.
