Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Armindo Delgado started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, SC Gois's Raul Faria got a free kick in the 5th minute. If Álvaro Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the game, Manuel Paredes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Gois's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Abragao the free kick. Manuel Paredes kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. SC Abragao's Vítor Brás got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armindo Delgado might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristiano Rodrigues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armindo Delgado ran back to his position shaking his head. Armindo Delgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute of the match SC Gois got a corner. SC Abragao's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Raul Faria ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to SC Gois's Nuno Martins getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Heitor Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 minutes, Joaquim Monteiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Abragao and the SC Gois players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, SC Abragao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. When the match had been going on for 34 minutes, SC Gois's Raul Faria got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cristiano Rodrigues. Vítor Brás scored 1-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Sousa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. SC Gois's Paulo Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Brás in the 43rd minute of play. If Álvaro Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armindo Delgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vítor Brás was the one to do the kick off. Pedro Abreu tried in the 53rd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Paulo Sousa a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-2. After some careless play in the SC Abragao defense, Heitor Santarém kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Rodrigues. The SC Abragao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Rodrigues should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nuno Martins during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 80th minute, Álvaro Correia had to leave the field with a concussion. After 80 minutes, Raul Faria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Gois and the SC Abragao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Raul Faria hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. During the 84th minute of the match Joaquim Monteiro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Joaquim Monteiro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of SC Gois booed when SC Abragao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristiano Rodrigues came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Gois's Armindo Delgado. But to his dismay, Armindo Delgado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. SC Gois were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Abragao for a fine match.
