Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Afonso Tavares kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Termo booed when Vimeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Pinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Gueifão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th match minute, Termo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Ferro to maneuver through the defense. If Júlio Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Vimeiro booed when Termo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Afonso Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg João Oliveira managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Termo's Júlio Reis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Termo getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Júlio Reis hit a great ball. Afonso Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Borges's late challenge caught a Termo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Borges helped the player get up and apologised. Gustavo Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 44th minute of the match Termo got a corner. Vimeiro's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joaquim Teixeira ran over to the corner to take the kick. João Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Leão was the one to do the kick off. Júlio Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Oliveira having to interfere. In the 60th minute Afonso Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Oliveira came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Termo's Afonso Tavares. But to his dismay, Afonso Tavares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If João Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute, Joaquim Teixeira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Vimeiro's João Oliveira didn't even have to move. Vítor Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Macedo having to interfere. Termo's Nuno Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Leão in the 84th minute of play. Júlio Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. João Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júlio Reis in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Oliveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Termo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vimeiro had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
