Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Lafrana's Nuno Neves started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Xavier Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rogério Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Reis having to interfere. The supporters of SC Lafrana booed when Murtinheira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armindo Brás didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, SC Lafrana's Nuno Neves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Reis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Murtinheira getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Armindo Brás hit a great ball. Nuno Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Reis having to interfere. When Rogério Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the SC Lafrana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogério Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. Lucas Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Ribeiro having to interfere. When Xavier Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Murtinheira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Abreu couldn't finish the play. Vicente Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Morais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Abreu in the 39th minute of play. Lucas Andrade's late challenge caught a SC Lafrana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd minute, Lucas Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murtinheira's Rodrigo Reis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Murtinheira from getting a goal against them. If Emílio Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emílio Morais stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nuno Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Ribeiro in the 56th minute of the match. SC Lafrana's Vicente Ribeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save SC Lafrana from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Xavier Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Murtinheira's supporters rose to their feet, but Xavier Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Murtinheira's goalkeeper Rodrigo Reis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rogério Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Murtinheira's Marco Barros got a free kick in the 76th minute. If Xavier Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murtinheira's Rodrigo Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Ribeiro in the 83rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuno Neves in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, SC Lafrana's Manuel Rodrigues got a free kick in the 87th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Murtinheira's Gaspar Lima tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Emílio Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Morais in the 92nd minute of play forced SC Lafrana's goalkeeper Vicente Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xavier Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogério Ribeiro's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
