Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Manuel Alves started the match with the kick off. Heitor Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Machado in the 4th minute of play. In the 6thth minute of the game Manuel Alves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Piares's Vítor Macedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafael Pedroso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Manuel Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 minutes, Bruno Cardoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grova FC and the SC Piares players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alexandre Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Grova FC booed when SC Piares was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavier Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Alexandre Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Piares's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nuno Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

51 minutes into the match, Grova FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Machado came free, but Heitor Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 52 minutes of play Grova FC's Nuno Moura was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Borba in the 55th minute of play forced Grova FC's goalkeeper Heitor Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heitor Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Borba, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. When Rafael Pedroso came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Grova FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Pedroso couldn't finish the play. The supporters of SC Piares booed when Grova FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alexandre Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gonçalo Borba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vítor Macedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Pedroso in the 72nd minute. When Manuel Alves fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grova FC's protests and gave Manuel Alves a yellow card for diving instead. Manuel Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Vítor Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th match minute, SC Piares was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Heitor Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 90th minute, Alexandre Machado made a precise shot to the right of Heitor Gomes. Grova FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.
