Amadeu Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Humberto Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Vaz to make the kick off. The supporters of Baiana FC booed when SC Linho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeu Lopes struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Humberto Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baiana FC. In the 67th minute Armindo Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Jesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Castro having to interfere. A collision led to Baiana FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Francisco Lima hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Eduardo Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Baiana FC's Vasco Pires got control of the ball when Sandro Anjos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baiana FC's Armindo Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
