Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrique Paredes in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Humberto Castro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Simões went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 47 minutes, Mariano Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ganilhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The SC Linho players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ganilhos were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Mariano Simões made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Linho's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nuno Pinheiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Ganilhos's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ganilhos's Nuno Pinheiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Humberto Castro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 57th minute, Gustavo Vaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. A hard shot 62 in the game by Henrique Paredes from a close distance when the talented Humberto Castro managed to make a qualified save. SC Linho's players were relieved. Sandro Anjos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Alfredo Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
